Turkey ....... तुर्की 

20वीं सदी में , टर्की जो की एक जाहिल इस्लामिक देश था वहाँ एक राष्ट्रपति हुए . 

मुस्तफा कमाल अतातुर्क . 

उन्होंने  10 साल के अन्दर टर्की को एक जाहिल इस्लामिक देश से एक modern पढालिखा progressive देश बना दिया . 

सबसे पहले उन्होंने एक अभियान चलाया और टर्की को उसकी अरबी जड़ों से काट के तुर्की आत्मसमान को जागृत किया . 

सबसे पहले उन्होंने देश में अरबी भाषा पे प्रतिबन्ध लगा दिया . अरबी लिपि को त्याग कर Latin आधारित नयी लिपि तुर्की भाषा के लिए विकसित की . उन्होंने देश के शिक्षा विदों से पूछा , हम कितने दिनों में पूरे देश को नयी तुर्की लिपि सिखा देंगे ? 

3 से 5 साल में ? 

राष्ट्रपति ने कहा 3 से 5 महीने में करो ये काम .........

उन्होंने कुरआन शरीफ को नयी तुर्की लिपि में लिखवाया . मस्जिदों से अरबी अजान बंद कर दी गयी . अब अजान तुर्की भाषा में होती थी . अतातुर्क ने कहा हमें अरबी इस्लाम नहीं चाहिए . हमें तुर्की इस्लाम चाहिए . हमें अरबी भाषा में कुरआन रटने वाले मुसलमान नहीं चाहिए बल्कि तुर्की भाषा में कुरआन समझने वाले मुसलमान चाहिए .

उन्होंने Turkey को इस्लामिक state से एक सेक्युलर state बना दिया . 

उन्होंने इस्लामिक शरियत की शरई courts जो सदियों से चली आ रही थी उन्हें बंद कर दिया और तुर्की का नया कानून बनाया जो इस्लामिक न हो के modern था . 

इसके बाद उन्हें मुस्लिम सिविल कोड को abolish कर Turkish सिविल कोड बनाया . मौखिक तलाक गैर कानूनी कर दिया . 4 शादियाँ गैर कानूनी कर दी . family planning अनिवार्य कर दी . 

अतातुर्क ने पूरे देश की शिक्षा व्यवस्था बदल दी . नयी तुर्की लिपि में पाठ्य पुस्तकें लिखी गयी . 

मदरसों और दीनी इस्लामिक शिक्षा पे प्रतिबन्ध लगा दिया गया . पूरी तुर्की में modern शिक्षा को अनिवार्य कर दिया गया . नतीजा ये निकला की सिर्फ 2 सालों में देश में साक्षरता 10% से बढ़ के 70 % हो गयी . 

सबसे बड़ा काम जो अतातुर्क ने किया वो देश के इस्लामिक पहनावे और रहन सहन को बदल दिया . इस्लामिक दाढ़ी , कपडे , पगड़ी प्रतिबंधित कर दी . पुरुषों को पगड़ी की जगह Hat पहनने की हिदायत दी गयी .महिलाओं के लिए हिजाब नकाब बुर्का प्रतिबंधित कर दिया . देखते  देखते महिलाएं घरों से बाहर आ के पढने लिखने लगी और काम करने लगी ........पर्दा फिर भी पूरी तरह ख़तम न हुआ था . 

इसके लिए अतातुर्क ने एक तरकीब निकाली . वेश्याओं के लिए बुर्का और पर्दा अनिवार्य कर दिया . इसका नतीजा ये निकला की जो थोड़ी बहुत महिलाएं अभी भी परदे में रहती थी उन्होंने एक झटके में पर्दा छोड़ दिया . अतातुर्क ने रातों रात देश की महिलाओं को इस्लामिक जड़ता और गुलामी से मुक्त कर दिया .........

उन्होंने महिलाओं को समाज में बराबरी का दर्जा दिया . 1935 के आम चुनावों में तुर्की में 18 महिला सांसद चुनी गयी थी . ये वो दौर था जब की अभी बहुत से यूरोपीय देशों में महिलाओं को मताधिकार तक न था . 

मुस्तफा कमाल अतातुर्क ने सिर्फ 10 साल में इस्लामिक Ottoman empire के एक जाहिल देश को एक modern देश बना दिया था . 

ऐ भारत के मुसलमानों ........ आज एक मौक़ा तुम्हे भी मिल रहा है . इस्लामिक जहालत से मुक्त होने का . मदरसों से हटा के अपने बच्चों को स्कूल भेजो . 

फैसला तुम्हे करना है  . तुम्हारी अपनी लीडरशिप ने तो तुम्हे जानबूझ कर आज तक जाहिल रखा है . वो आज भी आपको जाहिल ही रखना चाहते हैं . . आज भारत में भी एक अतातुर्क आया है जो आपको एक सम्मानजनक जीवन देना चाहता है .

-------गुर्जर सम्राट नागभट प्रतिहार ----

वीर गुर्जर यौद्धा जिसने अरबो को अपने बाजुओं से मथडाला एवं इतना भयाक्रांत कर दिया था की जब गुर्जरेन्द्र नागभट्ट की गुर्जरसेना गुर्जर रणनृत्य करती हुई ,जय भौणा ( गुर्जरो का युद्ध का देवता) व जय गुर्जरेश कहती हुई जोश व वीरता से अरबो से युद्ध के लिए जाए तो अरबी लोग मुल्तान में बने एक शिव मंदिर को नष्ट करने की धमकी देकर अपनी जान बचाते थे और जिससे सैनिक युद्ध क्षेत्र से लौट आते थे। गुर्जरेन्द्र नागभट्ट प्रतिहार वीर साहसी थे जिन्हें इतिहास में नागावलोक व गुर्जरेन्द्र ( गुर्जरो के इन्द्र) के नाम से भी जाना जाता है।

के.एम.पन्निकर ने अपनी पुस्तक "सर्वे ऑफ़ इंडियन हिस्ट्री "में लिखा है -जो शक्ति मोहम्मद साहिब की मृत्यु के सौ साल के अंदर एक तरफ चीन की दिवार तक पंहुच गयी थी ,तथा दूसरी और मिश्र को पराजित करते हुए उतरी अफ्रिका को पार कर के स्पेन को पद दलित करते हुए दक्षिणी फ़्रांस तक पंहुच गयी थी जिस ताकत के पास अनगिनित सेना थी तथा जिसकी सम्पति का कोई अनुमान नही था जिसने रेगिस्तानी प्रदेशों को जीता तथा पहाड़ी व् दुर्लभ प्रांतों को भी फतह किया था। 

इन अरब सेनाओं ने जिन जिन देशों व् साम्राज्यों को विजय किया वंहा कितनी भी सम्पन्न संस्कृति थी उसे समाप्त किया तथा वहां के निवासियों को अपना धर्म छोड़ कर इस्लाम स्वीकार करना पड़ा। ईरान , मिश्र आदि मुल्कों की संस्कृति जो बड़ी प्राचीन व विकसित थी वह इतिहास की वस्तु बन कर रह गयी। अगर अरब हिंदुस्तान को भी विजय कर लेते तो यहां की वैदिक संस्कृति व धर्म भी उन्ही देशों की तरह एक भूतकालीन संस्कृति के रूप में ही शेष रहता।। 

इस सबसे बचाने का भारत में कार्य वीर गुर्जरेन्द्र नागभट्ट व गुर्जरो ने किया प्रतिहार की उपाधि पायी। गुर्जरेन्द्र ने खलीफाओं की महान आंधी को देश में घुसने से रोका और इस प्रकार इस देश की प्राचीन संस्कृति व धर्म को अक्षुण रखा। देश के लिए यह उसकी महान देन है। गुर्जरो में वैसे तो कई महान राजा हुए पर सबसे ज्यादा शक्तिशाली कनिष्क महान,कल्किराज मिहिरकुल हूण,सम्राट तोरमाण हूण , गुर्जर सम्राट खुशनवाज हूण,गुर्जरेन्द्र नागभट्ट प्रथम , गुर्जरेश मिहिरभोज , दहाडता हुआ गुर्जर सम्राट महिपालदेव,सम्राट हुविष्क कसाणा,महाराजा दद्दा चपोतकट, जयभट गुर्जर,वत्सराज रणहस्तिन थे  जिन्होने अपने जीवन मे कभी भी चीनी साम्राज्य,फारस के शहंसाह , मंगोल,तुर्की,रोमन ,मुगल और अरबों को भारत पर पैर जमाने का मौका नहीं दिया । इसीलिए आप सभी मित्रों ने कई प्रसिद्ध ऐतिहासिक किताबो पर भी पढा होगा की गुर्जरो का भारत का प्रतिहार यानी राष्ट्र रक्षक व द्वारपाल व  ईसलाम का सबसे बड़ा दुश्मन बताया गया है।।

ब्रिटिश इतिहासकार कहते थे कि भारत कभी एक  राष्ट्र था ही नहीं वामी इतिहासकार कहते हैं कि भारत राष्ट्रीयता की भावना से एक हुआ ही नहीं धर्म निरपेक्ष इतिहासकार कहते हैं कि हिंदुत्व और इस्लाम में कोई संघर्ष था ही नहीं मुस्लिम कहते है कि इस्लाम के शेरों के सामने निर्वीर्य हिंदू कभी टिके ही नहीं हमें तो यही बताया गया है यही पढाया गया है कि हिंदू सदैव हारते आये हैं .. They are born looser , और आप भी शायद ऐसा ही मानते हों पर क्या ये सच है ?

मानोगे भी क्यों नहीं जब यहाँ के राजा  खुद ही अपनी बेटियाँ पीढीदर पीढी अपने कट्टर दुश्मनो के यहाँ ब्याह के हैं, जिन अत्याचार मुगलो का सिर काटना था उन्हीं की सेनाओ के प्रधान सेनापति हो,सेनाओ में लडते हो, दामाद बनवाकर बारात मंगवाते हो व दामाद जी कहकर खुशामद व गुलामी करते हो वहाँ के लोगो को हारा व हताश ही कहा जायेगा। जहाँ के राजा व उनके सामन्त अंग्रेजो की जय जयकार करते हो व जनता का खून चूसकर कर वसूलते हो वहाँ भारत के स्वर्णिम समय गुर्जर काल यानी गुर्जर प्रतिहार साम्राज्य के काल को बस चार लाइनो में निपटा देते हैं ।

................ बिलकुल भी नहीं ...............

तो फिर सच क्या है ? क्या हमारे पूर्वजों के भी कुछ कारनामे हैं ? कुछ ऐसे कारनामे जिनपर हम गर्व कर सकें ? जवाब है .हाँ ...ऐसे ढेर सारे कारनामे जिन्होंने इस देश ही नहीं विश्व इतिहास को भी प्रभावित किया और जिनके कारण आज हम हमारी संस्कृति जीवित है और हम अपना सिर ऊंचा करके खडे हो सकते हैं क्या थे वे कारनामे ? कौन थे वे जिन्होंने इन्हें अंजाम दिया और हम उनसे अंजान हैं ??

समय - 730 ई.

मुहम्मद बिन कासिम की पराजय के बाद खलीफा हाशिम के आदेश पर जुनैद इब्न अब्द ने मुहम्मद बिन कासिम के अधूरे काम को पूरा करने का बीडा उठाया बेहद शातिर दिमाग जुनैद समझ गया था कि कश्मीर के महान योद्धा शासक ललितादित्य मुक्तापीड और कन्नौज के यशोवर्मन से वह नहीं जीत सकता , इसीलिये उसने दक्षिण में गुर्जरत्रा (गुजरात, वह भूमि जिसकी रक्षा गुर्जर करते थे व शासक थे।) के रास्ते से राजस्थान और फिर मध्यभारत को जीतकर ( और शायद फिर कन्नौज की ओर) आगे बढने की योजना बनाई और अपनी सेना के दो भाग किये -

1- अल रहमान अल मुर्री के नेतृत्व में गुजरात की ओर

2 - स्वयं जुनैद के नेतृत्व में मालवा की ओर

अरब तूफान की तरह आगे बढे नांदीपुरी में दद्द द्वारा स्थापित प्राचीन राज्य ,राजस्थान में मंडोर का हरिश्चंद्र द्वारा स्थापित प्राचीन राज्य , चित्तौड का मोरी राज्य इस तूफान में उखड गये और यहाँ तक की अरब उज्जैन तक आ पहुँचे और अरबों को लगने लगा कि वे स्पेन ,ईरान और सिंध की कहानी भी यहाँ बस दुहराने ही वाले हैं ..स्थित सचमुच भयावनी हो चुकी थी और तब भारत के गौरव को बचाने के लिये अपने यशस्वी पूर्वजों  कनिष्क महान व मिहिरकुल हूण, श्रीराम व लक्ष्मण के नाम पर गुज्जर यानी गुर्जर अपने सुयोग्य गुर्जर युवक  नागभट्ट प्रथम के नेतृत्व में उठ खडे हुए वे थे ---

-------गुर्जर कैसे बने भारतवर्ष के प्रतिहार ----------

- प्रतिहार सूर्यवंशी ( मिहिर यानी हूणो के वंशज) थे।।

- गुर्जर राष्ट्र रक्षक व प्रतिहार उपाधि से नवाजे गये।।

- गुर्जरो को शत्रु संहारक कहा गया । 

वे भारतीय इतिहास के रंगमंच पर ऐसे समय प्रकट हुए जब भारत अब तक के ज्ञात सबसे भयंकर खतरे का सामना कर रहा था . भारत संस्कृति और धर्म , उसकी 'हिंद 'के रूप में पहचान खतरे में थी अरबों के रूप में "इस्लाम "हिंदुत्व "को निगलने के लिये बेचैन था। गुर्जरेन्द्र  नागभट्ट प्रतिहार के नेतृत्व में दक्षिण के गुर्जर चालुक्य राजा विक्रमादित्य द्वितीय, वल्लभी के गुर्जरराज शिलादित्य मैत्रक और उन्हीं गुर्जर मैत्रक वंश  के गुहिलौत वंश के राणा खुम्माण जिन्हें इतिहास "बप्पा रावल "के नाम से जानता है , के साथ एक संघ बनाया गया संभवतः यशोवर्मन और ललितादित्य भी अपने राष्ट्रीय कर्तव्य से पीछे नहीं हटे और उन्होंने भी इस संघ को सैन्य सहायता भेजी . मुकाबला फिर भी गैरबराबरी का था ----

और फिर शुरू हुयी कई युद्धों की श्रंखला जिसे भारत के व विश्व  के  इतिहासकार छुपाते आये हैं  व भारत में मुगलो व तुर्को के आगे झुकने वालो का , अकबर जैसे मुगलो को दामाद बनाने वालो का,हारे हुए छोटे रजवाडे के राजाओ का व हारा हुआ व  छोटे युद्धो का इतिहास पढाकर भारत को नपुंसक का देश व पराजितो का दे श बताकर किरकिरी करवा रखी है, कनिष्क महान जैसे सम्राटो जिन्होंने चीन को हराया, खुशनवाज हूण जैसे परम प्रतापी जिन्होंने फारस के बादशाह फिरोज को तीन बार हराया, मिहिरकुल हूण जैसे सम्राट को जिनका शासन मध्यएशिया तक था व गुर्जर सम्राट मिहिरभोज महान व गुर्जरेन्द्र नागभट प्रतिहार जैसे महान शासको को पढा ने से बचते रहे हैं  बस छोटी मोटी हारो पर कलम घिसते रहे हैं।-

........... "गुर्जरत्रा का युद्ध " .............

गुर्जर सम्राट नागभट्ट प्रतिहार ने 730 ई. में अपनी राजधानी भीनमाल जालौर को बनाकर एक शक्तिशाली नये गुर्जर राज्य की नींव डाली।  गुर्जरसेना ने सम्राट के रूप में नागभट्ट का राज्याभिषेक किया। वह कुशल सेनापति एवं प्रबल देशभक्त थे। गुर्जरेन्द्र नागभट्ट का ही काल वह कुसमय था जब अरब लुटेरों का आक्रमण भारत पर प्रारम्भ हो गया। अरबों ने सिंध प्रांत जीत लिया और फिर मालवा और अन्य राज्यों पर आक्रमण करना प्रारम्भ किया। सिंध पर शासन करने वाला राज्यपाल जुनैद एक खतरनाक अरबी था।उसके पास घोडो और डाकुओं की भारी सेना थी। वह तूफान की तरह सारे पश्चिमी भारत को रौंदता हुआ जालौर की ओर आ रहा था।सभी छोटे - छोटे राज्यों में रहने वाले, व्यक्ति अपना स्थान छोडकर भाग रहे थे। गुर्जर सम्राट नागभट्ट  व भडौच के महाराजा जयभट चपोत्कट ही वे प्रथम योद्धाथे जिन्होने गुर्जरत्रा ( गुर्जरदेश,गुर्जरभूमि, गुर्जरराष्ट्र,गुर्जरधरा, गुर्जरमण्डल) ही नहीं अपने भारत देश को अरबों से मुक्त कराने का बीडा उठाया था।नागभट्ट की गुर्जरसेना छोटी थी, किंतु वह स्वयं जितना साहसी, दिलेर और विवेकशील था, वैसे ही उसकी सेना थी। गुर्जरो का गुर्जर रणनृत्य इन युद्धो में बडा काम आया इस रणनृत्य के जरिये गुर्जर बडी भयंकर व भयभीत करने वाली आवाजे निकालते थे जिससे शत्रु सेना घबरा उठती थी। गुर्जराधिराज नागभट्ट ने जुनैद के विरूद्ध अपनी मुठ्ठी भर  गुर्जरसेना को खडा कर दिया - पहली ही लडाई में ही जुनैद को करारी शिकस्त झेलनी पडी। 

अरबों के खिलाफ गुर्जरेन्द्र की सफलता अल्पकालिक मात्र न थी, बल्कि उसने अरबों की सेनाओं को बहुत पीछे खदेड दिया था। इस विजय का ऐसा प्रभाव पडा की अनेक भयभीत राजा नागभट्ट से आकर मिल गये। एक वर्ष के बाद ही नागभट्ट गुर्जरेन्द्र ने सिंध पर आक्रमण कर दिया और जुनैद का सिर काट लिया। सारी अरब सेना तितर - बितर होकर भाग खडी हुई, दुश्मनो के हाथ से नागभट्ट ने सैनधक, सुराष्ट्र, उज्जैन, मालवा, भड़ौच आदि राज्यों को मुक्त करा लिया। सन 750 में अरब लोग पुनः एकत्र हो गये। भारत विजय का अभियान छेड दिया। सारी पश्चिमी सीमा अरबो के अत्याचार से त्राहि-त्राहि कर उठी। नागभट्ट आग बबूला होकर युद्ध के लिए आक्रोशित हुआ, उसने तुरंत सीमा की रक्षा के लिए कूच कर दिया। 3000 से ऊपर अरब शत्रुओं को मौत के घाट उतार दिया और देश ने चैन की सांस ली, अपने को नागभट्ट नारायण देव के नाम से अलंकृत किया।

तंदूशे प्रतिहार के तनभृति त्रलोक्यरक्षास्पदे। 

देवो नागभट्ट: पुरातन पुने मुतिवर्षे भूणाद भुतम ।।

मर्तवढ चौहान नागभट्ट का सामंत था वह जैसा वीर था वैसा ही सुयोग्य कवि भी। उसने नागभट्ट प्रशस्ति नामक अच्छे ग्रंथ की रचना की है जो इतिहास और काव्य दोनों है। उसने गुर्जरेन्द्र नागभट्ट को वामन अवतार नाम दिया है। जिन्होने राक्षसों से धरती का उद्धार किया था। चौहान सामंत ने, जुनैद के उत्तराधिकारी तमीम को जिस वीरता से पराजित कर चमोत्कट और भड़ौच से मार भगाया कि नागभट्ट प्रतिहार ने उसे सामंत से भड़ौच का राजा ही बना दिया। सन 760 ई. में गुर्जरेन्द्र का स्वर्गवास हो गया । सन 760 - 775 तक उसके पुत्र कक्कुस्थ और पौत्र देवराज प्रतिहार ने गुर्जर राज्य को संभाला।।

अरब सदैव के लिये सिंधु के उस पार धकेल दिये गये और मात्र टापूनुमा शहर "मनसुरा "तक सीमित होकर रह गये इस तरह ना केवल विश्व को यह बताया गया कि हिंदुस्तान के योद्धा शारीरिक बल में श्रेष्ठ हैं बल्कि यह भी कि उनके हथियार उनकी युद्ध तकनीक और रणनीति विश्व में सर्वश्रेष्ठ है।। 

इस तरह भारत की सीमाओं को सुरक्षित रखते हुए उन्होंने अपना नाम सार्थक किया --

The Battle of Herat was a large scale military confrontation that took place in 484 between an invading force of the Sassanid Empire composed of around 100,000 men[1] under the command of Peroz I and a smaller army of the Hun Empire of Gurjar under the command of Khushnavaz Hoon. The battle was a catastrophic defeat for the Sassanid forces who were almost completely wiped out. Peroz, the Sassanid king, was killed in the action.

In 459, the Hoon(Clan Of Gujjar) occupied Bactria and were confronted by the forces of the Sassanid king, Hormizd III. It was then that Peroz, in an apparent pact with the Hephthalites,[2] killed Hormizd, his brother, and established himself as the new king. He would go on to kill the majority of his family and began a persecution of various Christian sects in his territories.

Peroz quickly moved to maintain peaceful relations with the Byzantine Empire to the west. To the east, he attempted to check the Hephthalites, whose armies had begun their conquest of eastern Iran. The Romans supported the Sassanids in these efforts, sending them auxiliary units. The efforts to deter the Hephthalite expansion met with failure when Peroz chased their forces deep into Hephthalite territory and was surrounded. Peroz was taken prisoner in 481 and was made to deliver his son, Kavadh, as a hostage for three years, further paying a ransom for his release.

It was this humiliating defeat which led Peroz to launch a new campaign against the Hephthalites.

The battle::

In 484, after the liberation of his son, Peroz formed an enormous army and marched northeast to confront the Hephthalites. The king marched his forces all the way to Balkh where he established his base camp and rejected emissaries from the Hunnic king Khushnavaz. Peroz's forces advanced from Balkh to Herat. The Huns, learning of Peroz's way of advance, left troops along his path who proceeded to cut off the eventual Sassanid retreat and surround Peroz's army in the desert around the city of Herat. In the ensuing battle, almost all of the Sassanid army was wiped out. Peroz was killed in the action and most of his commanders and entourage were captured, including two of his daughters. The Gurjar forces proceeded to sack Herat before continuing on to a general invasion of the Sassanid Empire.

Aftermath 

The Huns invaded the Sassanid territories which had been left without a central government following the death of the king. Much of the Sassanid land was pillaged repeatedly for a period of two years until a Persian noble from the House of Karen, Sukhra, restored some order by establishing one of Peroz's brothers, Balash, as the new king. The Hunnic Gurjar menace to Sassanid lands continued until the reign of Khosrau I. Balash failed to take adequate measures to counter the Hephthalite incursions, and after a rule of four years, he was deposed in favor of Kavadh I, his nephew and the son of Peroz. After the death of his father, Kavadh had fled the kingdom and took refuge with his former captors, the Hephthalites, who had previously held him as a hostage. He there married one of the daughters of the Hunnic king, who gave him an army to conquer his old kingdom and take the throne.The Sassanids were made to pay tributes to the Hephthalite Gurjar Empire until 496 when Kavadh was ousted and forced to flee once again to Hephthalite territory. King Djamasp was installed on the throne for two years until Kavadh returned at the head of an army of 30,000 troop and retook his throne, reigning from 498 until his death in 531, when he was succeeded by his son, Khosrau I.

भारत में ७ लाख ३२ हज़ार गुरुकुल एवं विज्ञान की २० से अधिक शाखाए थी

 भारत में विज्ञान पर इतना शोध किस प्रकार होता था, तो इसके मूल में है भारतीयों की जिज्ञासा एवं तार्किक क्षमता, जो अतिप्राचीन उत्कृष्ट शिक्षा तंत्र एवं अध्यात्मिक मूल्यों की देन है। "गुरुकुल"के बारे में बहुत से लोगों को यह भ्रम है की वहाँ केवल संस्कृत की शिक्षा दी जाती थी जो की गलत है। भारत में विज्ञान की २० से अधिक शाखाएं रही है जो की बहुत पुष्पित पल्लवित रही है जिसमें प्रमुख १. खगोल शास्त्र २. नक्षत्र शास्त्र ३. बर्फ़ बनाने का विज्ञान ४. धातु शास्त्र ५. रसायन शास्त्र ६. स्थापत्य शास्त्र ७. वनस्पति विज्ञान ८. नौका शास्त्र ९. यंत्र विज्ञान आदि इसके अतिरिक्त शौर्य (युद्ध) शिक्षा आदि कलाएँ भी प्रचुरता में रही है। संस्कृत भाषा मुख्यतः माध्यम के रूप में, उपनिषद एवं वेद छात्रों में उच्चचरित्र एवं संस्कार निर्माण हेतु पढ़ाए जाते थे।
थोमस मुनरो सन १८१३ के आसपास मद्रास प्रांत के राज्यपाल थे, उन्होंने अपने कार्य विवरण में लिखा है मद्रास प्रांत (अर्थात आज का पूर्ण आंद्रप्रदेश, पूर्ण तमिलनाडु, पूर्ण केरल एवं कर्णाटक का कुछ भाग ) में ४०० लोगो पर न्यूनतम एक गुरुकुल है। उत्तर भारत (अर्थात आज का पूर्ण पाकिस्तान, पूर्ण पंजाब, पूर्ण हरियाणा, पूर्ण जम्मू कश्मीर, पूर्ण हिमाचल प्रदेश, पूर्ण उत्तर प्रदेश, पूर्ण उत्तराखंड) के सर्वेक्षण के आधार पर जी.डब्लू.लिटनेरने सन १८२२ में लिखा है, उत्तर भारत में २०० लोगो पर न्यूनतम एक गुरुकुल है। माना जाता है की मैक्स मूलर ने भारत की शिक्षा व्यवस्था पर सबसे अधिक शोध किया है, वे लिखते है "भारत के बंगाल प्रांत (अर्थात आज का पूर्ण बिहार, आधा उड़ीसा, पूर्ण पश्चिम बंगाल, आसाम एवं उसके ऊपर के सात प्रदेश) में ८० सहस्त्र (हज़ार) से अधिक गुरुकुल है जो की कई सहस्त्र वर्षों से निर्बाधित रूप से चल रहे है"।
उत्तर भारत एवं दक्षिण भारत के आकडों के कुल पर औसत निकलने से यह ज्ञात होता है की भारत में १८ वी शताब्दी तक ३०० व्यक्तियों पर न्यूनतम एक गुरुकुल था। एक और चौकानें वाला तथ्य यह है की १८ शताब्दी में भारत की जनसंख्या लगभग २० करोड़ थी, ३०० व्यक्तियों पर न्यूनतम एक गुरुकुल के अनुसार भारत में ७ लाख ३२ सहस्त्र गुरुकुल होने चाहिए। अब रोचक बात यह भी है की अंग्रेज प्रत्येक दस वर्ष में भारत में भारत का सर्वेक्षण करवाते थे उसे के अनुसार १८२२ के लगभग भारत में कुल गांवों की संख्या भी लगभग ७ लाख ३२ सहस्त्र थी, अर्थात प्रत्येक गाँव में एक गुरुकुल। १६ से १७ वर्ष भारत में प्रवास करने वाले शिक्षाशास्त्री लुडलो ने भी १८ वी शताब्दी में यहीं लिखा की "भारत में एक भी गाँव ऐसा नहीं जिसमें गुरुकुल नहीं एवं एक भी बालक ऐसा नहीं जो गुरुकुल जाता नहीं"।
राजा की सहायता के अपितु, समाज से पोषित इन्ही गुरुकुलों के कारण १८ शताब्दी तक भारत में साक्षरता ९७% थी, बालक के ५ वर्ष, ५ माह, ५ दिवस के होते ही उसका गुरुकुल में प्रवेश हो जाता था। प्रतिदिन सूर्योदय से सूर्यास्त तक विद्यार्जन का क्रम १४ वर्ष तक चलता था। जब बालक सभी वर्गों के बालको के साथ निशुल्कः २० से अधिक विषयों का अध्यन कर गुरुकुल से निकलता था। तब आत्मनिर्भर, देश एवं समाज सेवा हेतु सक्षम हो जाता था।
इसके उपरांत विशेषज्ञता (पांडित्य) प्राप्त करने हेतु भारत में विभिन्न विषयों वाले जैसे शल्य चिकित्सा, आयुर्वेद, धातु कर्म आदि के विश्वविद्यालय थे, नालंदा एवं तक्षशिला तो २००० वर्ष पूर्व के है परंतु मात्र १५०-१७० वर्ष पूर्व भी भारत में ५००-५२५ के लगभग विश्वविद्यालय थे। थोमस बेबिगटन मैकोले (टी.बी.मैकोले) जिन्हें पहले हमने विराम दिया था जब सन १८३४ आये तो कई वर्षों भारत में यात्राएँ एवं सर्वेक्षण करने के उपरांत समझ गए की अंग्रेजो पहले के आक्रांताओ अर्थात यवनों, मुगलों आदि भारत के राजाओं, संपदाओं एवं धर्म का नाश करने की जो भूल की है, उससे पुण्यभूमि भारत कदापि पददलित नहीं किया जा सकेगा, अपितु संस्कृति, शिक्षा एवं सभ्यता का नाश करे तो इन्हें पराधीन करने का हेतु सिद्ध हो सकता है। इसी कारण "इंडियन एज्यूकेशन एक्ट"बना कर समस्त गुरुकुल बंद करवाए गए। हमारे शासन एवं शिक्षा तंत्र को इसी लक्ष्य से निर्मित किया गया ताकि नकारात्मक विचार, हीनता की भावना, जो विदेशी है वह अच्छा, बिना तर्क किये रटने के बीज आदि बचपन से ही बाल मन में घर कर ले और अंग्रेजो को प्रतिव्यक्ति संस्कृति, शिक्षा एवं सभ्यता का नाश का परिश्रम न करना पड़े।
उस पर से अंग्रेजी कदाचित शिक्षा का माध्यम अंग्रेजी नहीं होती तो इस कुचक्र के पहले अंकुर माता पिता ही पल्लवित होने से रोक लेते परंतु ऐसा हो न सका। हमारे निर्यात कारखाने एवं उत्पाद की कमर तोड़ने हेतु भारत में स्वदेशी वस्तुओं पर अधिकतम कर देना पड़ता था एवं अंग्रेजी वस्तुओं को कर मुक्त कर दिया गया था। कृषकों पर तो ९०% कर लगा कर फसल भी लूट लेते थे एवं "लैंड एक्विजिशन एक्ट"के माध्यम से सहस्त्रो एकड़ भूमि भी उनसे छीन ली जाती थी, अंग्रेजो ने कृषकों के कार्यों में सहायक गौ माता एवं भैसों आदि को काटने हेतु पहली बार कलकत्ता में कसाईघर चालू कर दिया, लाज की बात है वह अभी भी चल रहा है। सत्ता हस्तांतरण के दिवस (१५-८-१९४७ ) के उपरांत तो इस कुचक्र की गोरे अंग्रेजो पर निर्भरता भी समाप्त हो गई, अब तो इसे निर्बाधित रूप से चलने देने के लिए बिना रीढ़ के काले अंग्रेज भी पर्याप्त थे, जिनमें साहस ही नहीं है भारत को उसके पूर्व स्थान पर पहुँचाने का |
"दुर्भाग्य है की भारत में हम अपने श्रेष्ठतम सृजनात्मक पुरुषों को भूल चुके है। इसका कारण विदेशियत का प्रभाव और अपने बारे में हीनता बोध की मानसिक ग्रंथि से देश के बुद्धिमान लोग ग्रस्त है"– डॉ.कलाम, "भारत २०२० : सहस्त्राब्दी"
आप सोच रहे होंगे उस समय अमेरिका यूरोप की क्या स्थिति थी, तो सामान्य बच्चों के लिए सार्वजानिक विद्यालयों की शुरुआत सबसे पहले इंग्लैण्ड में सन १८६८ में हुई थी, उसके बाद बाकी यूरोप अमेरिका में अर्थात जब भारत में प्रत्येक गाँव में एक गुरुकुल था, ९७ % साक्षरता थी तब इंग्लैंड के बच्चों को पढ़ने का अवसर मिला। तो क्या पहले वहाँ विद्यालय नहीं होते थे? होते थे परंतु महलों के भीतर, वहाँ ऐसी मान्यता थी की शिक्षा केवल राजकीय व्यक्तियों को ही देनी चाहिए बाकी सब को तो सेवा करनी है।

राक का एक पुस्तक है जिसे इराकी सरकार ने खुद छपवाया था। इस किताब में 622 ई से पहले के अरब जगत का जिक्र है। आपको बता दें कि ईस्लाम धर्म की स्थापना इसी साल हुई थी। किताब में बताया गया है कि मक्का में पहले शिवजी का एक विशाल मंदिर था जिसके अंदर एक शिवलिंग थी जो आज भी मक्का के काबा में एक काले पत्थर के रूप में मौजूद है। पुस्तक में लिखा है कि मंदिर में कविता पाठ और भजन हुआ करता था।  

 

 

 

प्राचीन अरबी काव्य संग्रह गंथ ‘सेअरूल-ओकुल’ के 257वें पृष्ठ पर हजरतमोहम्मद से 2300 वर्ष पूर्व एवं ईसा मसीह से 1800 वर्ष पूर्व पैदा हुए लबी-बिन-ए-अरव्तब-बिन-ए-तुरफा ने अपनी सुप्रसिद्ध कविता में भारत भूमि एवं वेदों को जो सम्मान दिया है, वह इस प्रकार है-

 

“अया मुबारेकल अरज मुशैये नोंहा मिनार हिंदे।

 

व अरादकल्लाह मज्जोनज्जे जिकरतुन।1।

 

वह लवज्जलीयतुन ऐनाने सहबी अरवे अतुन जिकरा।

 

वहाजेही योनज्जेलुर्ररसूल मिनल हिंदतुन।2।

 

यकूलूनल्लाहः या अहलल अरज आलमीन फुल्लहुम।

 

फत्तेबेऊ जिकरतुल वेद हुक्कुन मालन योनज्वेलतुन।3।

 

वहोबा आलमुस्साम वल यजुरमिनल्लाहे तनजीलन।

 

फऐ नोमा या अरवीयो मुत्तवअन योवसीरीयोनजातुन।4।

 

जइसनैन हुमारिक अतर नासेहीन का-अ-खुबातुन।

 

व असनात अलाऊढ़न व होवा मश-ए-रतुन।5।”

 

अर्थात-(1) हे भारत की पुण्य भूमि (मिनार हिंदे) तू धन्य है, क्योंकि ईश्वर ने अपने ज्ञान के लिए तुझको चुना। (2) वह ईश्वर का ज्ञान प्रकाश, जो चार प्रकाश स्तम्भों के सदृश्य सम्पूर्ण जगत् को प्रकाशित करता है, यह भारतवर्ष (हिंद तुन) में ऋषियों द्वारा चार रूप में प्रकट हुआ। (3) और परमात्मा समस्त संसार के मनुष्यों को आज्ञा देता है कि वेद, जो मेरे ज्ञान है, इनकेअनुसार आचरण करो।(4) वह ज्ञान के भण्डार साम और यजुर है, जो ईश्वर ने प्रदान किये। इसलिए, हे मेरे भाइयों! इनको मानो, क्योंकि ये हमें मोक्ष का मार्ग बताते है।(5) और दो उनमें से रिक्, अतर (ऋग्वेद, अथर्ववेद) जो हमें भ्रातृत्व की शिक्षा देते है, और जो इनकी शरण में आ गया, वह कभी अन्धकार को प्राप्त नहीं होता।

 

इस्लाम मजहब के प्रवर्तक मोहम्मद स्वयं भी वैदिक परिवार में हिन्दू के रूप में जन्में थे, और जब उन्होंने अपने हिन्दू परिवार की परम्परा और वंश से संबंध तोड़ने और स्वयं को पैगम्बर घोषित करना निश्चित किया, तब संयुक्त हिन्दू परिवार छिन्न-भिन्न हो गया और काबा में स्थित महाकाय शिवलिंग (संगेअस्वद) के रक्षार्थ हुए युद्ध में पैगम्बर मोहम्मद के चाचाउमर-बिन-ए-हश्शाम को भी अपने प्राण गंवाने पड़े। उमर-बिन-ए-हश्शाम का अरबमें एवं केन्द्र काबा (मक्का) में इतना अधिक सम्मान होता था कि सम्पूर्ण अरबी समाज, जो कि भगवान शिव के भक्त थे एवं वेदों के उत्सुक गायक तथा हिन्दू देवी-देवताओं के अनन्य उपासक थे, उन्हें अबुल हाकम अर्थात ‘ज्ञान का पिता’ कहते थे। बाद में मोहम्मद के नये सम्प्रदाय ने उन्हें ईर्ष्यावश अबुलजिहाल ‘अज्ञान का पिता’ कहकर उनकी निन्दा की।

 

जब मोहम्मद ने मक्का पर आक्रमण किया, उस समय वहाँ बृहस्पति, मंगल, अश्विनीकुमार, गरूड़, नृसिंह की मूर्तियाँ प्रतिष्ठित थी। साथ ही एक मूर्ति वहाँ विश्वविजेता महाराजा बलि की भी थी, और दानी होने की प्रसिद्धि से उसका एक हाथ सोने का बना था। ‘Holul’ के नाम से अभिहित यह मूर्ति वहां इब्राहम और इस्माइल की मूर्त्तियों के बराबर रखी थी। मोहम्मद ने उन सब मूर्त्तियों को तोड़कर वहां बने कुएं में फेंक दिया, किन्तु तोड़े गये शिवलिंग का एक टुकडा आज भी काबा में सम्मानपूर्वक न केवल प्रतिष्ठित है, वरन् हज करने जाने वाले मुसलमान उस काले (अश्वेत) प्रस्तर खण्ड अर्थात ‘संगे अस्वद’ को आदर मान देते हुए चूमते है।

 

प्राचीन अरबों ने सिन्ध को सिन्ध ही कहा तथा भारतवर्ष के अन्य प्रदेशों को हिन्द निश्चित किया। सिन्ध से हिन्द होने की बात बहुत ही अवैज्ञानिक है। इस्लाम मत के प्रवर्तक मोहम्मद के पैदा होने से 2300 वर्ष पूर्व यानि लगभग 1800 ईश्वी पूर्व भी अरब में हिंद एवं हिंदू शब्द का व्यवहार ज्यों कात्यों आज ही के अर्थ में प्रयुक्त होता था।

 

अरब की प्राचीन समृद्ध संस्कृति वैदिक थी तथा उस समय ज्ञान-विज्ञान, कला-कौशल, धर्म-संस्कृति आदि में भारत (हिंद) के साथ उसके प्रगाढ़ संबंध थे। हिंद नाम अरबों को इतना प्यारा लगा कि उन्होंने उस देश के नाम पर अपनी स्त्रियों एवं बच्चों के नाम भी हिंद पर रखे।

 

अरबी काव्य संग्रह ग्रंथ ‘ से अरूल-ओकुल’ के 253वें पृष्ठ पर हजरत मोहम्मद के चाचा उमर-बिन-ए-हश्शाम की कविता है जिसमें उन्होंने हिन्दे यौमन एवं गबुल हिन्दू का प्रयोग बड़े आदर से किया है। ‘उमर-बिन-ए-हश्शाम’ की कविता नई दिल्ली स्थित मन्दिर मार्ग पर श्री लक्ष्मीनारायण मन्दिर (बिड़लामन्दिर) की वाटिका में यज्ञशाला के लाल पत्थर के स्तम्भ (खम्बे) पर कालीस्याही से लिखी हुई है, जो इस प्रकार है -

 

” कफविनक जिकरा मिन उलुमिन तब असेक ।

 

कलुवन अमातातुल हवा व तजक्करू ।1।

 

न तज खेरोहा उड़न एललवदए लिलवरा ।

 

वलुकएने जातल्लाहे औम असेरू ।2।

 

व अहालोलहा अजहू अरानीमन महादेव ओ ।

 

मनोजेल इलमुद्दीन मीनहुम व सयत्तरू ।3।

 

व सहबी वे याम फीम कामिल हिन्दे यौमन ।

 

व यकुलून न लातहजन फइन्नक तवज्जरू ।4।

 

मअस्सयरे अरव्लाकन हसनन कुल्लहूम ।

 

नजुमुन अजा अत सुम्मा गबुल हिन्दू ।5।

 

अर्थात् –(1) वह मनुष्य, जिसने सारा जीवन पाप व अधर्म में बिताया हो, काम, क्रोध में अपने यौवन को नष्ट किया हो। (2) यदि अन्त में उसको पश्चाताप हो, और भलाई की ओर लौटना चाहे, तो क्या उसका कल्याण हो सकता है ? (3) एक बार भी सच्चे हृदय से वह महादेव जी की पूजा करे, तो धर्म-मार्ग में उच्च से उच्चपद को पा सकता है। (4) हे प्रभु ! मेरा समस्त जीवन लेकर केवल एक दिन भारत (हिंद) के निवास का दे दो, क्योंकि वहां पहुंचकर मनुष्य जीवन-मुक्त हो जाता है। (5) वहां की यात्रा से सारे शुभ कर्मो की प्राप्ति होती है, और आदर्शगुरूजनों (गबुल हिन्दू) का सत्संग मिलता है।

Where in our holy literature is suicide encouraged? Where is mass suicide encouraged? Where is letting yourself be killed encouraged? Even plants turn their flowered faces to the sun. There is no animal, bird or insect that does not value it's own life. Even viruses and bacteria fight to live and multiply. Devil Incarnate Gandhi demanded Sanatanis let themselves be murdered. Just for singing Tulsidas's authentic version, instead of mohammedan version, my parents were labeled 'trouble makers' by other Sanatanis. Now I proudly follow in their footsteps and state this is only version of we have ever sung. Mohammedan version we could not even utter. This beautiful bhajan is about House of Raghupati and no one else. We also have original second version of this bhajan by Tulsidas. Pointless to post when Sanatanis ignore first.

Bill Moyers

Oklahoma native Bill Moyers started his career with a journalism internship with the United States Senate, after completing a degree at the University of Texas Austin.
While Moyers was still a student, Senator Lyndon B. Johnson developed a liking for the young man and gave him a job handling his own personal mail. After Moyers graduated, he worked for the KTBC radio and television stations, owned by Senator Johnson’s wife.
Moyers later hosted several television programs, including many on PBS. Some estimates indicate that he earned more than $20 million in taxpayer money for his work on PBS, although he has never confirmed that amount. Moyers decided after several years to pursue his Master of Divinity, and in 1959 he was ordained a Baptist minister. He would later be appointed as the Associate Director of the Peace Corp and would serve as the 13th White House Press Secretary under Johnson from 1965 to 1967. He has given a handful of sermons since his early years in politics, but now the 81-year-old journalist is best recognized as a pioneer in freedom of the press and public broadcasting.
He’s made at least $20,000,000 from public broadcasting. That’s taxpayer money! He refuses to officially disclose his income and his net worth is not known.

Richard Rossi

Some sites report Richard Rossi’s net worth to be over $1,000,000, a number that has not been verified. But Rossi isn’t your typical Christian leader. In fact, he is one of the most colorful personalities on this list.
Richard Rossi is a healing evangelist, musician, novelist, filmmaker, actor, painter and poet.
His family was a musical one, and performed together professionally from the time Rossi was seven years old. In 1980, Rossi formed a folk rock band with John Walker, his high school best friend. “Walker and Rossi” were soon playing their music on national TV, in a documentary called “Teens Songs Reflect Positive Outlook,” as well as on the “700 Club.”
Rossi met his wife Sherrie at a Walker and Rossi performance at Liberty University. The newlyweds moved to Pittsburgh in 1986, where Rossi began promoting his healing services and playing guitar at  local music venues. He attracted huge crowds with his act.
Rossi and Sherrie had two children together. They went on to create Eternal Grace, a ministry for actors and artists. At one point, ABC News called Rossi the “Pastor to the Stars” when it was revealed that he was acting as spiritual advisor to some of the most famous celebrities out there. Rossi later appeared on the “Jerry Springer Show” to discuss his work as a faith healer, as well as exorcism and ESP.
In 1994, Sherrie was discovered, covered in blood, in a coma near the side of a Pennsylvania road. At first, responders thought she’d been in a wreck. Rossi and his wife provided bizarre, conflicting stories about the incident, and he was later convicted of second-degree aggravated assault. He served 96 days in Butler County Jail for the incident.
During the trial and subsequent jail time, membership in Rossi’s church plummeted from 300 to only 12. It was revealed at this point that he’d suffered from mental health and addiction problems. Rossi enrolled in a recovery program that he still follows.
The Rossi family relocated to Los Angeles in 1997, and founded Eternal Grace. Eternal Grace is a church movement specifically targeted to celebrities who have difficulty attending public services due to paparazzi.
Rossi has guest-starred in many television episodes, written three books, and produced several films. To this day, Rossi host his radio talk-show “Richard Rossi Live” as a podcast, and is currently producing a new film Canaan Land, which is highly critical of fake faith healers.

Paul Cain

Paul Cain became one of the youngest ministers of the Voice of Healing Revival in Europe during the late 1940s. He was only 18 years old when he stepped up onto the pulpit. In the late 1950s he did the unthinkable and disappeared from the public eye. Supposedly he had become upset with the corruption of his movement.
He resurfaced in 1987, while working as a consultant for the CIA. He was known to work closely alongside men like Bill Clinton and Saddam Hussein. His reputation took a turn for the worse because of his drunkenness and accusations of rampant homosexuality. He returned to the pulpit in 2007 and continues to preach in Santa Maria, California.
In April 2004, three fellow ministers staged an intervention of sorts for Cain, claiming that he’d had a homosexual relationship and was frequently inebriated in public. Cain denied the accusations initially. In 2005, though, he posted a letter of confession to his website and to Charisma magazine. In the letter he admitted to struggling with alcoholism and homosexuality.

Jimmy Swaggart

Swaggart is one of the most popular pastors of all time. Ordained in the 1950s, he would eventually launch his own AM radio network which only increased his thirst for a larger audience. Eventually he turned his attention to TV, hosting an hour-long weekend telecast that was aired on more than 200 networks. He eventually lost public favor in the late 1980s and early 1990s when he was faced with both prostitution and sex scandals. He would eventually admit to his transgressions in his infamous “I have sinned” speech. Swaggart regained some of his followers and go on to earn $1.5 million through his music, radio and television ministry.
According to the LA Times, Swaggart’s ministry made over $150 million a year in the 80s. All of the family members (22!) he keeps on payroll receive a combined payout of more than $350,000 of that each year. And the parsonage where he lived was built with a reported loan of $1.8M from the ministry.


Stanley started work as a minister in Virginia when he was just 14 years old. Following this, he received his Master of Divinity degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, in Fort Worth, Texas, and a Master of Theology and Doctor of Theology from Luther Rice Seminary, in Florida, Stanley moved to Atlanta, Georgia. There he became the pastor of the First Baptist Church, and he started “The Chapel Hour” TV program in 1972. In 1978, his program was syndicated across the country by the Christian Broadcasting Network.
He eventually started In Touch Ministries, which led to a syndicated radio broadcast that took his message worldwide. His program “In Touch with Dr. Charles Stanley” is translated across hundreds of radio and television networks in over 100 languages.
His ministries earned about $73,000,000 a year when surveyed nine years ago. The official executive salary was listed as $126,931.

R.C. Sproul

Dr. Robert Charles Sproul, a Pittsburgh born and raised pastor, is the founder and chairman of Ligonier Ministries. The church was established in 1970 and was started as a college and seminary for students. The faith-based organization was soon built into a nationally recognized program which hosts theological conferences throughout the year with renowned speakers from around the world. Sproul founded the internationally broadcasted Sirius XM radio program “Renewing Your Mind.” Unlike his contemporaries, he avoided television and launched the Reformation Network (RefNet), an online Christian radio station for reformed Christians, in 2012.
RC Sproul has written a blog post about how much pastors should be paid. In it he says “Pay him well enough that he is able to give with great generosity.”

Jack Van Impe

Jack Leo Van Impe is a Michigan native who graduated from the Detroit Bible Institute in 1952. He’s earned the nickname “Walking Bible” for his ability to quote the scripture. Van Impe started his career as an evangelist on the Billy Graham Crusades. In 1954 he met and married Rexella Mae Shelton. Together, the newlyweds started Jack Van Impe Ministries. Rexella served as his co-host of the television series, “Jack Van Impe Presents.” 60 years later, and the TV series is still shown across the United States and Canada. Reports have suggested that the Jack Van Impe Ministries International Foundation has a yearly revenue of about $2.5 million.
In 2011, Van Impe ceased airing his program on Trinity Broadcasting Network, after they refused to air an episode of his show. In this episode, Van Impe had expressed criticism of Christians who wish to incorporate Islamic practices and beliefs into their organizations.
His annual salary is believed to be around $150,000.

Clifton Davis

Davis is actually better known for his time as a songwriter, singer and actor. He wrote such famous hits as Never Can Say Goodbye and Lookin’ Through the Windows for the Jackson 5. Well before his first taste of fame, Davis pursued theological studies and earned his Master of Divinity from Andrews University. He was ordained in 1987. Over the past 25 years he has served as the co-founder and pastor of the Welcome Christian Center in Huntington Beach, California. He has made various guest appearances on the Trinity Broadcasting Network and has hosted the Gospel Superfest for the last eight years.

Ernie Fletcher

Ernie Fletcher has played politician, preacher, and physician. The Kentucky native started his professional career with the United States Air Force, in the hopes of becoming an astronaut. After cuts to NASA’s budget and eyesight concerns, Fletcher earned a degree in medicine and opened a private practice.
He started working as a lay Baptist minister in his community and became active in Kentucky politics. In 1999, Fletcher joined the United States House of Representatives, where he served until 2003.  Fletcher was elected as state Governor in 2003, over state Attorney General Ben Chandler. He held that position until 2007. While in office, he was accused of unethical hiring practices that overshadowed his reelection bid.
During his time in office, Fletcher also almost lost his medical license. He signed a death warrant for a man who had been convicted of a double murder and sentenced to death. The Kentucky Board of Medical Licensure investigated him for this, as the state’s laws state that doctors are ineligible to participate in executions in any way. The Board determined that Fletcher had acted as Governor and not as a physician when he issued the death warrant. Bowling died of cancer in prison before the execution could take place. Fletcher went on to establish Alton Healthcare Consulting in Cincinnati, Ohio in 2008.
Despite many years spent in the ministry, he amassed most of his rumored $3 million net worth with his work in politics. Congress members can earn as much as $223,500 a year from salary alone.  YouBrite reports his net worth as high as $16.7 million, which is an unconfirmed amount.

Leroy Jenkins

Now that’s a fun name.
Evangelist Leroy Jenkins, born in South Carolina, came from a family of religion: his mother was a prominent evangelist in Florida during the 1960s and 1970s. Jenkins declared himself a born-again Christian after he was convicted of arson in 1979.
After spending 12 years in prison he was released and by 2011 he married 77-year-old Eloise Thomas, who had won the Ohio Lottery Jackpot worth $6 million. Thomas passed away shortly after marrying Jenkins. An Ohio court annulled the marriage and denied Jenkins any of Thomas’s fortune.
While he was known for much of his life as a con-artist and convicted criminal, that didn’t stop him from starting Leroy Jenkins Ministries. He used a “miracle water” to help heal his followers. In 2003, his ministry was hit with a big scandal when it was discovered that the “miracle water” contained harmful chemicals (coliform bacteria).
After being fined a mere $200 for selling the water without a license to do so, Jenkins took his ministry and moved to Arizona. His ministry is still located in Scottsdale. He has a musical inclination and has released many Gospel albums over the course of his ministry career, including “Touching Jesus,” “God Gave Me A Song,” “If I Could Dream,” “Songs and Sermon In Bakersfield,” and “Songs To Be Healed By.” His $4 million fortune continues to grow as he continues to work as an internationally recognized televangelist.  A biographical film about Jenkins, The Calling, was released in 2002. Interestingly, there is a “World of Warcraft” character with the name “Leeroy Jenkins.”

Tony Campolo

Tony Campolo is known as the former spiritual adviser to President Bill Clinton. The Philadelphia native is an ordained Baptist minister and evangelist who is closely tied to the Democratic Party. He’s also the founder of the Evangelical Association for the Promotion of Education (EAPE) which helps at-risk youth throughout North America.
He has angered the GOP by appearing as a talking head on programs like “The Colbert Report,” “Nightline” and “Larry King Live.” In 2011 he took his opinions about politics, religion and social issues to his own platform with the launch of the program “Red Letter Christians.” He has also published more than a dozen books and appeared as the featured speaker at hundreds of events.
He’s one of the few evangelicals to open his doors to LGBTQ members.

Reinhard Willi Gottfried Bonnke is best known for his various missions across Africa for the past 50 years. Born in Königsberg, Germany, he felt the calling to learn about religion by the age of 10. He completed his preaching degree at Bible College in Wales before pastoring in Germany for seven years. He took on his first African mission in 1967, with his wife and 1-year-old son along with him.
Like many of the pastors on our list, he started with only a few dozen followers. But his reputation and popularity spread across Africa and soon he was packing stadiums and open-air venues with more than 100,000 people at a time. During a 2000 campaign in Nigeria, he had amassed 1.6 million followers.
The Pentecostal evangelist found his success with his autobiography, Living a Life of Fire, which helped increase his net worth to an estimated $4 million.

John MacArthur

MacArthur was ordained in the 1960s as a Christian evangelical preacher. He stepped onto the pulpit of the Calvary Bible Church in Southern California in 1964. By 1969 he had joined Grace Community Church in Los Angeles. As his popularity grew he launched a daily radio broadcast, Grace to You, in 1977. The show was first broadcast only in Baltimore, Maryland, but grew to become an internationally syndicated show.
He established his own college, The Master’s Seminary in Los Angeles, in 1986. He continues to serve as the college’s president and pastor at Grace Community Church. He has over 150 book titles to his name, including the MacArthur Study Bible and Twelve Ordinary Men, both which have become best sellers.
His executive pay has been reported at $160,000, with a net worth of $12,485,467.

Kay Arthur

Kay Arthur’s career did not begin with the ministry, and appeared to be taking a very different direction early in her life. She attended Tennessee Temple University’s  nursing school. Arthur divorced her first husband, who had a serious mental illness, and several years later he committed suicide. She admits to spiraling out of control with a series of bad relationships, and later said of this period: “Sin will take you farther than you ever intended to go, it will cost you more than you ever expected to pay, and it will keep you longer than you ever intended to stay.
Unfortunately, over the next few years, I sought comfort with several other men including a two-year relationship with a married man.” Arthur then turned to faith. She married for a second time in 1965 and joined her husband in Mexico as a missionary. They later returned to Chattanooga, Tennessee, and founded Precept Ministries International (originally named Reach-Out Ranch). To date, Arthur has published more than 100 books and Bible studies, and she speaks at conferences internationally. She also hosts a daily Bible Study Teaching program called “Precepts for Life,” which is available on radio, television, and the internet.
Once again, book deals seem to be a surefire path for evangelicals wanting to strike it rich.
Kay Arthur reportedly receives over $100k a year from Precept Ministries. David Arthur is said to be paid $165,000 as CEO.

Al Sharpton

Civil rights activist Al Sharpton is one of the most polarizing and controversial pastors of the 20th and 21st centuries. Sharpton claims that he was ordained as a Pentecostal minister at just nine years old. He spent his early years as James Brown’s tour manager and fighting for civil rights alongside Jesse Jackson.
Sharpton moved his focus back to the Baptist church in the late 1980s and became a Baptist minister in 1994. Through hundreds of television and radio appearances he has earned just north of $5 million. In 2014 reports circulated that Sharpton had “regularly sidestepped” his debts and owed millions in back taxes.

Joseph Prince

This Singapore native is a Senior Pastor at one of Asia’s biggest churches, the New Creation Church. The son of a Sikh priest, he has been associated with the church his entire life and has traveled extensively from Australia and Canada to Italy, Indonesia and the Netherlands. Prince helped establish the nondenominational New Creation Church in 1984. Membership quickly swelled from 25 people to a mind-boggling 31,000. He has a television program and has also authored books, CDs and DVDs. The church takes in an annual income of $44.7 million and Prince’s religious program Destined to Reign, is broadcast in over 150 countries, according to wikipedia.
Prince reportedly earns $550,000 per year in salary. In Singapore, every charity and non-profit organization are required to report the salaries of their chief executives. The church did not confirm Prince’s identity when it revealed that one of its employees is paid $550,000, but it did issue a statement acknowledging that their mission is to “recognize and reward key contributors to the church and Senior Pastor Prince is the main pillar of our church’s growth and revenue.” He is reportedly the 10th richest pastor in the world. Prince is married and has two children.

Chris Okotie

Nigerian televangelist Christopher Okotie serves as pastor of the Household of God Church (HGC) International Ministries. He followed a very unusual career trajectory on the path to his current role. While Okotie attended law school his father died, and he dropped out to start a career in pop music. He later returned to school and did eventually graduate with a law degree, but decided to pursue a job in the ministry rather than practice law.
He established the HGC in 1987 and since that time has published 17 books, authored various articles, and established himself as a local faith leader. He also ran three Presidential campaigns in Nigeria, but lost each of those races. Okotie is said to have a net worth of $3 million, and considered to be a rather flashy pastor, spending some of his religious earnings on luxury high-performance cars, including Rolls-Royce and Porsche.

Ravi Zacharias

Ravi Zacharias didn’t become a Christian until 17 years old, after attempting suicide. While he was recovering in the hospital, he was given a Bible and his mother read John 14 to him. The act changed his life.
Zacharias broke the mold by becoming one of the few popular evangelists from India. After turning his life around Zacharias moved to Canada with his family in the late 1960s where he completed his studies to become a minister. He traveled to Vietnam in 1971 and preached to American soldiers with a follow-up trip to Cambodia in 1974 as part of the Christian and Missionary Alliance in Canada. Zacharias was inspired by his trips abroad and started Ravi Zacharias International Ministries in Toronto in 1984. He soon published several award-winning works including Jesus Among Other Gods, Can Man Live Without God? and The End of Reason. He is now heard all over the world on his popular radio programs, Let My People Think and Just Thinking.

Jesse Jackson

Jesse Jackson is perhaps one of the most well-known and polarizing pastors and civil rights activists in recent times. While he was first known as a politician, his activism shifted him further into the public spotlight as a religious leader. Jackson accepted a football scholarship to the University of Illinois and eventually transferred to North Carolina A&T, where he became active in local civil rights campaigns. He eventually enrolled in the Chicago Theological Seminary before dropping out three classes short of earning his master’s degree. Jackson became an ordained Baptist minister in 1968 but continued his focus on politics with presidential runs in 1984 and 1988. He was eventually given his own show on CNN called Both Sides of Jesse Jackson. Jackson received a Master of Divinity degree from the Chicago Theological Seminary in 2000.

Matthew Ashimolowo

With an estimated net worth of $6- $10 million, Matthew Ashimolowo barely even cracks the top richest 15 pastors in the world. He leads the largest church in the United Kingdom. He’s the Senior Pastor of Kingsway International Christian Centre.
Ashimolowo converted from Islam to Christianity at the age of 20, following the death of his father. The KICC is rumored to have assets valued at $40 million, with an annual profit of $10 million. His church reportedly has over 12,000 members. Part of his earnings come from the popular international radio and television program, “Winning Ways.” In 2005 the pastor was forced to repay £200,000 after it was determined that he mismanaged church funds for his personal gain.

Ed Young was playing basketball on scholarship at Florida State University when he decided to change his career path and focused on the ministry — following in his dad’s footsteps. Young eventually transferred to Houston Baptist University in Texas and completed his Masters of Divinity at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. For a short period he worked at his father’s church, Second Baptist Church Houston, as an associate pastor.
He was later hired as the Sr. Pastor of Fellowship Church. Young’s ministry soon gained 5,000 weekly attendees and in 1998 he moved into a permanent facility in Grapevine, Texas. His international ministry has joined the Ed Young Television Network with his programs broadcast on the E! Channel and Roku as well as online. Young is also a New York Times best-selling author thanks to his book, The Sexperiment. Some unconfirmed reports indicate that Young has a net worth of $11,000,000+.

Ernest Angley

North Carolina native Ernest Angley was born to a Baptist family in the 1920s. He became a Christian in 1939, at the age of 18. He chose to work as a traveling Pentecostal faith healer and evangelist. At the time he had nothing to his name other than a tent, camper, and a Bible. He eventually collected enough money to purchase the Grace Cathedral (Temple of Healing Stripes) in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. He also bought the Channel 55 television station. He soon launched the Earnest Angley Hour to a nationwide weekly radio, television and internet broadcast. The 94-year-old eventually purchased a Boeing 747 registered in Aruba to transport missionaries and aid around the world.

Kirk Cameron

Kirk Cameron was a famous 1980’s TV actor thanks to the success of the hit ABC sitcom “Growing Pains,” in which he played the character of Mike Seaver. Since leaving the show he has become a radical Christian pastor who has produced many Christian TV shows and films such as Listen To Me, Fireproof and the Left Behind series.
In the 1990s he partnered with New Zealand evangelist Ray Comfort. Cameron co-founded The Way of the Master ministry, and also co-hosts a television show of the same name. His show won the National Religious Broadcasters’ Best Program Award for two years in a row. Cameron and Comfort have come under fire for their creationist beliefs. Cameron drew controversy in 2009, for distributing edited versions of Charles Darwins’ On the Origin of Species at colleges and universities. His version discredited Darwins’ theory of evolution, and was roundly condemned by scientists. Cameron and his wife also run Camp Firefly. The free summer camp provides a week vacation for terminally ill children and their families. Cameron has an equally-famous sibling, sister Candace Cameron Bure, who starred in “Full House” and now appears in its spin-off “Fuller House.” Bure became a Christian in her 20s, and encourages visitors to her website to find Christ for themselves.

Pastor Ray McCauley

South African pastor Raynor “Ray” McCauley is the founder of the Rhema Bible Church. He started his church after completing his studies, which started in 1979. To this very day he runs his church with help from his family. Much like the other pastors on our list he travels the world, and publishes various pieces that have helped pad his massive fortune.

John Danforth

Like many of the pastors on our list, Danforth started his career in politics. He was the Attorney General of Missouri from 1969 to 1976 after being elected to the United States Senate. He spent 19 years in the Senate before making his way to the White House as the 24th United States Ambassador to the United Nations from 2004 to 2005.
At the age of 79 he retired from politics and spent the majority of his time outside the political arena, mostly as an ordained Episcopal priest. He spent part of his $30 million net worth to become part owner of the St. Louis Blues, of the National Hockey League. His most recent book, The Relevance of Religion: How Faithful People Can Change Politics, sparked political and religious debates around the United States.

Pastor Tshifhiwa Irene

Irene is a South African pastor for the Divine Truth World Restoration Services for World Peace by Jesus Christ. She is also a popular televangelist, with her church situated in Venda. Most of her work has been focused on her own region, which has allowed her to develop a relationship with tens of thousands of followers.

Prophet Uebert Angel

Focusing on the less-privileged and widows has been very profitable for Uebert Angel. He is a self-proclaimed prophet who runs the mega church Spirit Embassy. As a “healer” he says that there are many unverifiable claims from unknown sources who claim he healed them after car accidents, following cancer diagnoses and more.

Robert Tilton

Robert Tilton was one of the architects of the televangelism and infomercials movement in the 1990s. The Texas native found much of his early success on a religious program called “Success-N-Life.” His program was set up more like an infomercial meant to convince viewers to buy into his vision. The popular series was eventually broadcast in over 200 American television markets and put Tilton in front of millions of viewers on a daily basis. His show was eventually bringing in more than $80 million in annual revenue.
In 1991 “Primetime Live” investigated his fundraising methods and quickly accused the national television star of exploiting vulnerable people. His staff would throw away prayer requests and keep donations. He would later return to television on The Word Network and BET. Most of his popularity has vanished over the past 25 years

Janice Crouch

Janice Crouch was born in Alabama as the daughter of a Georgia pastor. Her father served in the Assemblies of God denomination. She met and married Paul Crouch in 1957 and after starting a family, Janice joined her husband in the ministry. The eventually teamed up with Jim and Tammy Faye Bakker to establish the Trinity Broadcasting Network in 1973. TBN would eventually become the largest Christian television network in the country. TBN is bigger than networks like CBS, NBC and Fox, when we include its five independent networks: JUCE TV, TBN Enlace, Smile of a Child and The Church Channel. Crouch received an Honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degree from Oral Roberts University in 1990 and also was awarded the Parents Television Council Entertainment Seal of Approval. She was highly criticized for how she spent her network’s windfall. Crouch’s granddaughter accused her of squandering money on such luxuries as homes, private jets, expensive wigs, and even a mobile home exclusively for her dogs. Crouch recently died, in May 2016, at the age of 78. Her death came several days after she was hospitalized for a stroke. At the time of her passing, the network was embroiled in several lawsuits. One involved a rape and others were over financial issues.

Chris Oyakhilome

“Pastor Chris” is a Nigerian minister and the founder of Believers’ Loveworld Incorporated, AKA the Christ Embassy. Headquartered in Lagos, Nigeria, Pastor Chris claims to be a faith healer. His ridiculous claims include the ability to rid people of HIV through nothing but prayer. Much of his fame and wealth have come from Healing School, the widely translated Rhapsody of Realities, and Inner City Missions for Children. He also runs three Christian television channels that promote healing and general miracles for an international audience. He has more than 1.2 million followers on Twitter and his e-books are offered in 667 languages.

Enoch Adeboye

If you want to become a multi-millionaire pastor there really is no better place than Nigeria. This native to the country started his career as a mathematics profession after graduating with his PhD from the University of Lagos. He joined the Redeemed Christian Church of God in 1973 and soon began translating sermons into English for the current pastor. One decades later he was appointed the General Overseer of the relatively unknown church. The church now has more than 14,000 branches in Nigeria and an additional set of churches in 100 countries. Adeboye’s goal is to place a church within five minutes of every person on Earth.

David Oyedepo

The richest pastor in Nigeria is author, preacher and founder of Winner’s Chapel – David Oyedepo. Much like other Nigerian pastors on our list, his career didn’t start in the church. He studied architecture early in his career before concentrating on missionary work. His rise to religious fame started after he claimed in 1981 to have had an 18-hour vision where god called on him to preach. He soon started the Living Faith Church World Wide and was ordained a pastor two years later by Enoch Adeboye of the Redeemed Christian Church of God. His biggest claim to fame was the creation of the Faith Tabernacle, which holds the Guinness World Record for being the world’s largest church auditorium with 50,000 seats. While George Foreman is a pastor, almost all of his wealth was the result of a storied boxing career and royalties from the incredibly popular George Foreman Grill. Foreman officially returned from boxing in 1997 at 48 years old. He is an ordained minister who found his faith after a near-death experience in 1977. Foreman announced his faith as a born-again Christian and took a break from the ring to become an ordained minister. Despite his massive fame, he spent several years preaching on street corners and at the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ in Houston. He has made several appearances on “The 700 Club,” and is worth approximately $250 million.

Edir Macedo

A $1.1 billion pastor? With billions of Christians located all over the world, this is sad but not all that shocking. Macedo is located in Brazil where he is known as an evangelical leader and media mogul. He was raised Catholic but converted to Pentecostalism in 1970. Macedo founded the Pentecostal Universal Church of the Kingdom of God in Rio de Janeiro in the late 1970s and his numbers grew rapidly. After essentially cornering the religious market in the country, he grew his church to the point where it now takes in $2 billion in donations every single year. He built much of his wealth as the owner and chairman of Brazil’s second largest television network, Rede Record. He has used church funds to purchase radio stations, TV networks, real estate, health insurance companies, and even an airline. He flaunts his wealth, proclaiming regularly, “If I preach prosperity and my clothes are ragged, who will follow me?”

Kenneth Copeland

Kenneth Copeland is one of the leaders of the Charismatic Movement and is known for promoting a  controversial preaching style called “prosperity gospel.”
Copeland, prior to his conversion to Christianity in November 1962, was a trained pilot and a recording artist. In 1967, he enrolled in Oral Roberts University. He must have made quite an impression, as he was named chauffeur and pilot for Oral Roberts himself.

Copeland ranks up there as a highest-paid mega pastor with a rumored net worth of $760 million. Included in that net worth: a church, an airstrip, a church jet and a church-owned lakefront mansion.
His Kenneth Copeland Ministries has released dozens of books and recordings, including the titles The Blessing of the Lord: Makes Rich and He Adds No Sorrow with It and From Faith To Faith: A Daily Guide To Victory.

Pat Robertson

Pat Robertson, a successful businessman and former Southern Baptist minister,  created the Christian Broadcasting Network in Virginia. Estimates of his wealth vary greatly, from $200 million to over $1 billion. The network he created is now broadcast in 180 different countries. Robertson even led an (unsuccessful) run for presidency.

Benny Hinn

With a rumored net worth of $42 million is the Israeli televangelist known as Benny Hinn. Born Toufik Benedictus Hinn, he is best know for his healing summits, called “Miracle Crusades,” which are usually held in large stadiums throughout major cities.

Joel Osteen

Everyone’s favorite mega pastor, Joel Osteen comes fourth on our list with a net worth of $40 million. Osteen is an author, televangelist and pastor of the Lakewood Church in Houston, Texas. Lakewood Church is the largest Protestant church in the United States, and is broadcast in 100 different countries.

Creflo Dollar

Creflo Dollar is known as one of the most successful preachers in America. He was the founder of the World Changers Church International in Atlanta, Georgia. The first church service with the World Changers had only eight people in attendance. The church now meets in a 8,500-capacity building.

Billy Graham

Billy Graham, a Southern Baptist from North Carolina, is one of the most famous pastors on this list. Graham’s claim to fame came when his sermons started to get broadcasted on radio and television stations. He served as spiritual advisor to a number of presidents, and he has appeared on Gallup’s list of most admired men and women a whopping 55 times.
Graham’s estimated audience, over the course of his sixty-year career, is around 2.2 billion people.

Bishop T.D. Jakes

Bishop Thomas Dexter “T. D.” Jakes, Sr. lives in a $1.7 million dollar mansion and has been featured on the cover of Time magazine. As founder of The Potters’ House, this Dallas minister has racked up a huge net worth. His ministry now has over 30,000 members and 50 outreach ministries. दलित मुस्लिम एकता का सच

गुजरात में ऊना की घटना के बाद से विदेशी फंडिंग की मदद से दलितों के उत्थान के नाम पर रैलियां कर बरगलाया जा रहा है। इन रैलियों में दलितों के साथ साथ मुसलमान भी बढ़ चढ़कर भाग ले रहे है।  ऐसा दिखाने का प्रयास किया जा रहा है कि मुसलमान दलितों के हमदर्द है। सत्य यह है कि यह सब वोट बैंक की राजनीती है। दलितों और मुसलमानों के समीकरण को बनाने का प्रयास है जिससे न केवल देश को अस्थिर किया जा सके। अपितु हिंदुओं कि एकता का भी ह्रास हो जाये। देश में दलित करीब 20 फीसदी है और मुस्लमान 15 फीसदी। दोनों मिलकर 35 फीसदी के लगभग। रणनीतिकार ने सोचा है कि दोनों मिलकर एक मुश्त वोट करेंगे तो जीत सुनिश्चित है। क्योंकि सभी जानते है कि बाकि हिन्दू समाज तो ब्राह्मण, क्षत्रिय, बनिया, यादव आदि में विभाजित है। गौरतलब बात यह है कि दलितों को भड़काने वालों के लिए  डॉ अम्बेडकर के इस्लाम के विषय में विचार भी कोई मायने नहीं रखते। डॉ अम्बेडकर ने इस्लाम स्वीकार करने का प्रलोभन देने वाले हैदराबाद के निज़ाम का प्रस्ताव न केवल ख़ारिज कर दिया अपितु 1947 में उन्होंने पाकिस्तान में रहने वाले सभी दलित हिंदुओं को भारत आने का सन्देश दिया। डॉ अम्बेडकर 1200 वर्षों से मुस्लिम हमलावरों द्वारा किये गए अत्याचारों से परिचित थे। वो जानते थे कि इस्लाम स्वीकार करना कहीं से भी जातिवाद की समस्या का समाधान नहीं है। क्योंकि इस्लामिक फिरके तो आपस में ही एक दूसरे कि गर्दन काटते फिरते है। वह जानते थे कि इस्लाम स्वीकार करने  में दलितों का हित नहीं अहित है।

अपने लेखन में इस्लाम के विषय में डॉ अम्बेडकर लिखते है-

मुस्लिम भ्रातृभाव केवल मुसलमानों के लिए-”इस्लाम एक बंद निकाय की तरह है, जो मुसलमानों और गैर-मुसलमानों के बीच जो भेद यह करता है, वह बिल्कुल मूर्त और स्पष्ट है। इस्लाम का भ्रातृभाव मानवता का भ्रातृत्व नहीं है, मुसलमानों का मुसलमानों से ही भ्रातृभाव मानवता का भ्रातृत्व नहीं है, मुसलमानों का मुसलमानों से ही भ्रातृत्व है। यह बंधुत्व है, परन्तु इसका लाभ अपने ही निकाय के लोगों तक सीमित है और जो इस निकाय से बाहर हैं, उनके लिए इसमें सिर्फ घृणा ओर शत्रुता ही है। इस्लाम का दूसरा अवगुण यह है कि यह सामाजिक स्वशासन की एक पद्धति है और स्थानीय स्वशासन से मेल नहीं खाता, क्योंकि मुसलमानों की निष्ठा, जिस देश में वे रहते हैं, उसके प्रति नहीं होती, बल्कि वह उस धार्मिक विश्वास पर निर्भर करती है, जिसका कि वे एक हिस्सा है। एक मुसलमान के लिए इसके विपरीत या उल्टे सोचना अत्यन्त दुष्कर है। जहाँ कहीं इस्लाम का शासन हैं, वहीं उसका अपना विश्वास है। दूसरे शब्दों में, इस्लाम एक सच्चे मुसलमानों को भारत को अपनी मातृभूमि और हिन्दुओं को अपना निकट सम्बन्धी मानने की इज़ाजत नहीं देता। सम्भवतः यही वजह थी कि मौलाना मुहम्मद अली जैसे एक महान भारतीय, परन्तु सच्चे मुसलमान ने, अपने, शरीर को हिन्दुस्तान की बजाए येरूसलम में दफनाया जाना अधिक पसंद किया।” (बाबा साहेब डॉ. अम्बेडकर सम्पूर्ण वाड्‌मय, खंड १५-‘पाकिस्तान और भारत के विभाजन, २०००)

ऐसे अनेक उदहारण हमें वर्तमान में मुसलमानों द्वारा दलितों पर हो रहे अत्याचार के मिल सकते है। इसलिए दलित-मुस्लिम एकता केवल एक छलावा है। दलितों को डॉ अम्बेडकर कि बात की अनदेखी कर किसी के बहकावें में आकर अपना अहित नहीं करना चाहिए।
